If you struggle to adjust your camera settings to properly expose the image, you may want to try Zebra Mode. This mode allows you to see stripes on the back of your camera’s screen anywhere that is exposed to a certain brightness level. For landscape photography, try setting the Zebra to Lower Limit 105+, which shows only pixels that are completely overexposed, letting you retain highlights by adjusting exposure until the stripes disappear. For portrait or log-video shooters, try Standard+Range set to 52 +/- 5, then aim to get stripes on your subject or any skin tones in the scene.
